Adventure Recreation Intern: Interns must be available for a 12-week internship and be a Recreation major or a related field. CPR and First Aid certifications are a plus, but not required.
Must be able to work outdoors during our hot summer months, lift up to 50 pounds and able to make good decisions. Position requires difficult physical labor, such as lifting and hauling surf boards, water coolers, tables and tents. Intern will be required to study and learn about wind, waves and currents, as well as our salt marsh ecology. Must be a strong swimmer, with a background in surfing or knowledge of wetland ecology; not required, but a plus. Intern must have good communication skills and is responsible for leadership of a variety of outdoor programs and activities. He or she must posses good planning, organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Intern will learn map and compass skills and incorporate the gamut of their ability into daily Adventure Camp activities.
Day Camp Activities Director: Interns must be Recreation major or a related field. CPR and First Aid certifications are a plus, but not required.
The Activity Director is responsible for making a weekly agenda based upon the themes that have been chosen by the Director. They are also responsible for the following:
• Get all the supplies for each activity ready for each group • Start each activity, give instructions to the group and the counselors, and make sure they know what to do • Give Amy a supply list at least a week before, of the supplies needed for the next week's activities • After each group, make sure all the supplies are back and everything is ready for the next group • At the end of the day, make sure the last group put all the supplies away, if not get them to do it or put them anyway yourself • 9-10:15, lunch, pool time, and round-up times are your planning periods each day • During activity periods, you should be running the activities and making sure everything is running smoothly • During afternoon free time, your assistance is needed to watch the campers Tennis Intern: Must have at least played High School Tennis. High School as well as college experience is a plus.
We are looking for a tennis instructor who likes/is good with kids and loves and know the game of tennis. Must have a good work ethic, a positive attitude and patience. There is a possibility of taking the TU (Tennis University) at Professional Tennis Registry to become a certified tennis professional if interested but this is optional. We will hold a series of 5 tennis camps this summer and one junior tournament, which the intern will be helping with. There will be 80% coaching/teaching and 20% administrative work for this position. Athletics Internship: Interns must be Recreation major or a related field. CPR and First Aid certifications are a plus, but not required.
The intern will work with the Athletic Director. This person will be working with youth as well as adults. Programs will include All Sport Camps, Adult Basketball, Open Gym Supervisor and weekly sports camps. The schedule will be flexible. This person will be given league responsibilities. This position requires initiative, interpersonal and organization skills. This position will be good for anyone looking to start a career in athletics.
Pool Manager Internship: Must be attending school to earn a Bachelor's degree, with 1-3 years of experience in related professional agency or organizational setting, along with American Red Cross (or equivalent)

This person works under the direct supervision of the Aquatics Director and assists in providing professional leadership for a comprehensive community wide aquatic program for the Association. Duties include, however are not limited to: Assist in planning, teaching and overseeing aquatic programs (swim lesson program, master swim team, water aerobics, etc…); Assist in hiring of pool staff; Schedule and supervise pool staff; Coach the Recreational swim club; Evenings and weekends required.
